[About Us]
Hard Knock Gospel Homeless Outreach is an outreach which serves the homeless population in Austin, TX. Inspired by my own 14 month journey through homelessness in Austin, our main objective is to show grace, love, and compassion to those whom the world tends to deem dirty, unlovable, and unworthy, forgetting that they, like my former-self, are someone's Son, Daughter, Parent, and fellow human being. We don't preach, we don't evangelize, and we don't offer any un-solicited advice or recommendation concerning one's situation, circumstance or lifestyle. We are not affiliated with any church, sect, or religious denomination, we are solely a group of individuals who have shared similar experience. We never have and never will take a stance of elitist privilege, only one of humility and gratitude, fully aware of the grace and compassion we have been shown, wholeheartedly believing that is our duty, responsibility and greatest joy to pass along what was so freely given to us.
[What We Do]
Once a week we canvas local homeless encampments, street corners, and alleyways, offering various simple necessities one might need while living on the streets, yet unfortunately are hard to acquire. We want nothing in return, we have no secret agenda or hidden message, we only wish to help those who are in need. For a list of items we donate, please read below.
